Brand strategy and identity design is an exciting and dynamic field with multiple opportunities to
clearly articulate and differentiate the vision and aesthetic of your brand, while connecting with your
audience in new, interesting and meaningful ways.
Having worked in the creative edtech and design industry and taught as a senior multimedia creative brands communications lecturer at Vega School Cape Town for over 3 years
(one of the most lauded creative brand communications colleges in South Africa), I understand how to make a meaningful connection with a consumer using my unique conceptual and storytelling skillset.

Wedding Identity Design, Nuestra Boda
I married my husband on the 29th of July and was tasked with a simple but elegant identity design and copy to celebrate our special day.
The logo design lettermark included our initials and a simplified rainbow picturemark to celebrate the simple but fabulous occasion.
The identity was designed with the intention to celebrate my Spanish heritage and included a secondary logo with a subtle version of the rainbow accent titled 'Nuestra Boda'. Spanish for our Our Wedding.

Event Promotion & Identity Design
A personal project to showcase my portfolio of work and experience in the story art, visual design, motion design and education space over the last 15 years.
The result is a mobile-first, fully responsive website with considered SEO formatting, coded from scratch in HTML and CSS without the use of any templates.
Having taught multimedia and digital design at various institutions, the goal was to showcase my combined digital design, UX, UI, coding, art direction, creative direction, animation, education
and storytelling experience in the form of a new portfolio website and to differentiate the website with a bold complimentary colour scheme and typographic application, while limiting the website build to HTML and CSS code only.

Event Promotion & Identity Design
SAE Institute Cape Town's annual film, animation and sound design student showcase in 2018 aimed to promote visibility of student work towards creative industry leaders with the intention to secure employment the following year.
I created and designed the Umqombothi showcase concept and identity, which functioned as an opportunity for students to display their final third year projects and films on their
linked portfolio websites via a published Umqombothi online showcase website, printed posters, emailers, social media and a linked interactive animated GIF comic anthology website, KifGifComix.

Visual Narrative Anthology Publication
Parallelogram is an anthology of visual narrative work and illustration by BA Creative Brand Communications - Copywriting, Multimedia and Visual Communication
- students and lecturers from Vega School Cape Town. The project took place over a two year period and resulted in two bi-annual publication variations focusing
on the benefits of self-publishing literature and zines. The second publication, Urban Dystopia, required a separate lettermark logo forming part of the original identity system. The publication leveraged curriculum design and collaboration between students and lecturers across three
creative departments at Vega School Cape Town, facilitated by Roberto Millan, providing visibility of student and lecturer work outside of campus via a comic book
stand at the 2016 Open Book Comics Fest in Cape Town. The publications were in addition used in the
annual Vega School Cape Town Showcase exhibition as a direct mailer and invitation to creative studios and agencies across Cape Town, extending the visibility of student
work directly to the door of the people who will hopefully employ them.
